The petitioners are relatives of the husband of the deceased. The husband of the victim remains arrested.

The State refers to a report of the investigating officer which indicates that the victim had attempted to commit suicide by hanging. The victim was recovered by the local people and taken to the Balurghat District Hospital where she died. Since the petitioners herein may not have had any direct role in the unnatural death of the victim, they need not be arrested at this stage.

In the event of arrest, the petitioners will be released on furnishing security of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) each with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer. The petitioners will also

comply with the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

CRM 4808 of 2020 is disposed of.
