Mr. Somnath Naskar ...for the State The writ petition is directed against an order dated January 10, 2023 passed by the West Bengal Administrative Tribunal fixing the original application for hearing on August 3, 2023 after noting that none appeared for the applicant.

The writ petitioner is the applicant before the West Bengal Administrative Tribunal. Writ petitioner seeks direction for early disposal of the original application.

We find no ground to interfere with the order passed by the West Bengal Administrative Tribunal. The West Bengal Administrative Tribunal by the impugned order, took note of the readiness of the matter for hearing. It directed that the matter would be taken up by the single Member on consent of the

respondent. It also noted that, the applicant was not represented. Despite that, the matter was fixed on August 3, 2023. August 3, 2023 is the first date of hearing. As noted above, the applicant did not appear before the learned Tribunal. Therefore, at the behest of the applicant we are unable to issue any direction upon the Tribunal for an expeditious hearing, in the facts and circumstances of the present case.

W.P.S.T.53 of 2023 is disposed of accordingly.
