Halder, Mr. Indranil Halder, Ms. Srabanti Das .... for the petitioner Mr. Debanjan Mukherji .... for the CESC Limited Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that although initially some issue was raised by the CESC Limited in giving electricity connection to the petitioner, in the meantime, the CESC Limited has given an offer letter indicating the estimated amount required to be deposited, which has already been deposited by the petitioner. However, the CESC Limited has not given such connection as yet. Learned counsel appearing for the CESC Limited submits that initially an inspection by the CESC Limited was not fruitful due to no fault on the part of the CESC Limited.

Subsequently, an inspection was held and an offer letter has been issued to the petitioner in that regard. However, learned counsel for the CESC

Limited does not have any instruction as to whether the petitioner has already complied with all requisite formalities and made all the deposits.

Be that as it may, since admittedly an offer letter has been issued by the CESC Limited, upon compliance of all due formalities by the petitioner, there cannot be any further difficulty or impediment in giving the connection to the petitioner.

Hence, WPA No. 7886 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the CESC Limited to give the electricity connection to the petitioner at the existing meter board position, subject to compliance of all formalities by the petitioner, within a week from date.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
