The present case arose out of Beldanga Police Station Case no.110 of 20014 dated February 13, 2014 under Section 302/34 of Indian Penal Code.

The informant/complainant is anxious regarding the manner in which the proceedings are progressing before the Learned Trial Court.

Mr. Arijit Ganguly, learned advocate appearing for the State has submitted a report which reflects that the Case Diary is available and the Presiding Judge at present is there in the concerned court being the learned Sessions Judge 4th Court, Berhampore, Murshidabad. It is seen from the record that the case has been fixed on May 18, 2022 for consideration of charge. In view of the fact that the proceedings are pending for more than seven years. The learned Additional District & Sessions

Judge 4th Court, Beharampore is directed to complete the process for consideration of charge on the next date so fixed i.e. on 18.5.2022 or within a month thereafter. The learned Trial Court thereafter, would fix regular dates for the trial of the case and at least fix a schedule of three dates on each and every month, so that the Trial can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment should be granted to either of the parties. All efforts must be taken for completing the trial as expeditiously as possible.

Report so submitted by Mr. Arijit Ganguly, learned Advocate for the State be kept with the record. CRR 982 of 2021 is disposed of.
