Matter is taken up for consideration in terms of the order dated 20th April, 2026 when learned advocates representing the petitioner and State respondents have jointly submitted that cognizance of offence was taken on 31st March, 2026.

Since cognizance of offence was taken by the jurisdictional Magistrate and this Court is considering the writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, no further order need be passed on this writ petition by placing reliance on the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, reported in 2024 SCC OnLine SC 5761 (Neeta Singh & Ors. v. State of Uttar Pradesh & Ors.). 3.

Hence, writ petition stands disposed of.

However, this order shall not preclude the petitioner to take steps in accordance with law.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
