Ms. S. Afreen Mr. Asraf Mandal .....for State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits as follows. The petitioner is the mother-in-law of the victim deceased. She was staying separately from the couple, as would be evident from a certificate issued by the local member of Panchayat. She was in no way involved in the incident in question.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on case diary, opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits as follows. The death took place within a year of marriage. There are allegations against the petitioner as well as other accused as would be evident from plain reading of the FIR as well as statements of witnesses including the independent witnesses. Charge sheet has not been submitted.

Considering the nature of allegations and materials available in the case diary including the statements of independent witnesses, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the present petitioner. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
