A report is filed by learned counsel for the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) in Court today.

The same be kept on record.

It transpires from the same that the WBSEDCL is required to erect three PCC poles and string LT overhead line subject to way-leave permissions of the intending consumers.

What is apparently meant by the WBSEDCL is that the petitioner has to comply with all formalities, including the production of way-leave permissions from the land owners on whose property the electricity poles shall be erected, and comply with all other formalities as

well for getting the new electricity connection to operate his submersible pump. The WBSEDCL has, on the last inspection, found that the submersible pump actually exists on the property. In such view of the matter, WPA No. 7894 of 2023 is allowed, thereby directing the WBSEDCL to give new electricity connection as per the petitioner's application for operating the petitioner's submersible pump at the premises subject to the petitioner complying with all formalities, including production of due way-leave permissions from the adjacent owners, on whose property the poles are required to be erected. Upon the compliance of all due formalities by the petitioner, the WBSEDCL shall give the electricity connection to the petitioner within four weeks thereafter.

It is made clear that the WBSEDCL shall raise a quotation in that regard within a week from compliance of all formalities by the petitioner.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
