(S. Banerjee) This revisional application appeared earlier on 5th December, 2023 when an accommodation was sought for on behalf of the petitioner. Today when the revisional application is called, no one appears on behalf of the petitioner.

The subject-matter of the revisional application is order dated 16.03.2023 passed by the learned Chief Judge, Calcutta in Criminal Revision Case No. 31 of 2023.

I have considered the order passed by the learned Chief Judge and I find that the stage at which the petitioner approached the learned Sessions Judge was when the cross-examination of DW-1 was in progress. Learned Magistrate for administration of the ends of justice rejected the adjournment petition. Almost one year has passed since then.

Having considered that no one was there to apprise this court regarding the present stage of the proceeding, in my view further pendency of the revisional application before this court is unwarranted at this advanced stage of

the case being C-14426 of 2004 which was pending before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 13th Court Calcutta.

Accordingly, CRR 1186 of 2023 is dismissed.

Pending application, if any, is disposed of.
