It is submitted by counsel for the parties that the wife of the petitioner has filed W. P. No. 19866 of which was disposed of by order dated 17.01.2022 directing the Dum Dum Police Station to ensure that there is no breach of peace.

It appears that the petitioner and his wife have filed a complaint with the Dum Dum Police Station which has resulted in an FIR and Charge Sheet being Charge Sheet No. 535 of 2021 dated 31st May, 2021 under Sections 341/323/506 of the IPC and Sections 24 and25 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.

The private respondent/daughter in law has also filed complaint against the petitioner on which FIR has been registered and Charge Sheet No. 988 of 2020 dated 31.12.2020 under Sections 498/506 of the IPC has been filed.

The Dum Dum Police submits that the parties are adamant and are at loggerheads on trivial matters.

Dum Dum Police shall ensure that there is no breach of peace in the house and the locality and shall intervene in respect of any serious complaint from any side.

Both parties are directed to behave with each other and maintain peace and order.

Dum Dum Police shall maintain regular vigil thereat.

The writ petition is dispose of.

There will be no order as to costs.
