1. The only prayer of the petitioners is for a direction on the concerned respondent to consider and dispose of a representation made by the petitioners' lawyer on 11th November, 2021 which is in the nature of a complaint against the alleged illegal construction raised by the private respondent nos.9 to 13.

2. The respondents are represented.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the State respondents submits that the respondent no.3 being the Assistant Engineer, Kakdwip Highway Division, Public Works (Roads) Directorate, Government of West Bengal shall dispose of the representation of the petitioners.

4. W.P.A.7472 of 2022 is accordingly disposed of with a direction on the respondent no.3 to dispose of the representation dated 11th November, 2021 by passing

a reasoned order within a period of five weeks from date. The petitioners as well as the other necessary parties shall be heard out before passing a reasoned order. The order shall be made available to the petitioners within a week from the date on which such order is passed. Needless to say, the concerned respondent shall take into account the provisions of The West Bengal Highways Act, 1964 before passing the reasoned order.
