The petitioners alleged that they are getting regular threats in connection with FIR No. 16 dated 03.02.2024 registered under Sections 498A/34 IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The petitioners submit that there is no mention of any stridhan article in the complaint filed by the defacto complainant. Despite the same, the police are continuously harassing the petitioners from different phone numbers.

The report forwarded by the Officer-in-charge, Ballygunge P.S. signed on 09.05.2024 mentions that the complaint of the defacto complainant is being investigated and some seizure has been made The accused persons were served notice under Section 41A Cr.P.C. and they surrendered before the learned Court and are presently enlarged on Court bail.

The grievances of the petitioners can well be adjudicated by the learned Court in seisin of the matter.

In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioners in the instant writ petition. The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Dismissal of the writ petition will not stand in the way of the petitioners to approach the learned Trial Court for necessary relief.
