1. Learned advocate representing the Union of India submits that a report has been received from the Chief Medical Officer of Health, Krishnagar, Nadia intimating that the candidate had a pre-existing disease since February, 2017.

2. It has been submitted that the authority will take necessary steps for payment of pension in favour of the petitioner from the next day of death of his mother.

3. The authority shall take steps to release the pension in favour of the petitioner at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order subject to compliance of all necessary formalities.

4. In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of.

5. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
