Bhattacharya, learned senior advocate representing the petitioner by placing before this Court the communication dated 19th May, 2026, issued by the District Magistrate, Uttar Dinajpur, would submit that in terms of the aforesaid authorization dated 19th May, 2026, oath has been duly administered to the newly elected Chairman of Dalkhola Municipality.

The learned Amicus Curiae has also placed before this Court the communication issued by the ViceChairman, Dalkhola Municipality dated 20th May, 2026 regarding oath taking ceremony of the newly elected Chairman.

Let a copies of the aforesaid communications be kept with the record.

Having regard to the above and since the petitioner, who was elected as Chairman in terms of Section 17(3) of the West Bengal Municipal Act, 1993 has

WPA 8107 of 2026 already been administered oath, nothing survives in this matter for adjudication and the same is accordingly disposed of.
