Pursuant to an earlier order dated January 06, 2021 the police have filed a report. It appears from the report that the police has initiated proceedings under Section 107/116 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and have taken steps in the proceedings.

The police authorities are directed to take the proceedings initiated to its logical conclusion. In view of the report filed on behalf of the State, nothing survives in this writ petition. WPA No. 6788 of 2019 is disposed of without any order as to costs.
