1. In terms of the order dated 24th April, 2023 passed by this Court, Lake Town Police Station has filed a report. The same is taken on record.

2. The report of Lake Town Police Station indicates that investigation into FIR No. 217 of 2021 dated 26th August, 2021 has not been completed till date. The report further indicates that the private respondent/ her husband had been denied bail. The report also indicates that warrant of arrest and proclamation orders have been obtained against the absconding husband, which has been interfered with by a Coordinate Bench of this Court in revisional jurisdiction being C.R.R. No. 946 of 2023. The order of stay has since expired.

3. It is, therefore, ordered that the investigation into the subject FIR be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one month from date.

4. Let a copy of this order be placed before the Commissioner of Police, Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate to look into the delay in the investigation into the subject FIR and take appropriate steps in accordance with law.

5. The aforesaid order is subject to any order that may be passed in C.R.R. No. 946 of 2023.

6. With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

7. There will be no order as to costs.

8. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
