AGP Mr. Diptendu Narayan Banerjee ... for the State-respondent(s) The petitioner has informed the Mahishadal Police Station in respect of certain disputes relating to a plot of land wherein the private respondents by flexing their muscles threatened and abused the petitioner as also fenced the property.

When the petitioner resisted the same, he had to face the consequences as stated above.

An information, to that effect, was furnished to the police station and the same had only been reduced to G.D.E.

No.820 of 2025.

Mr. Banerjee, learned advocate,

appears on behalf of the State and submits that the police authorities are well aware regarding the dispute between the petitioner and the private respondents, as such, a G.D.E. No. 820 of 2025 has been recorded at the police station. There are other proceeding(s) pending before the learned Executive Magistrate for which an enquiry is being conducted.

So far as the dispute relating to land or its demarcation is concerned, the police authorities will not interfere with the same. The civil court is the appropriate forum for adjudication of such grievance.

However, the police authorities would only ensure that there is no breach of the peace and/or tranquility taking place as also no untoward incident resulting because of the inimical relationship existing between the parties.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 7993 of 2025 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.
