The petitioner claims to have submitted a plan on June 30, 2018 and also deposited a sum of Rs.150/- towards sanction fees.

The grievance of the petitioner is that the Municipal Corporation has not yet accorded sanction to the said plan.

Since the petitioner claims to have submitted a plan upon payment of fees as far back as in the year 2018, this Court is of the view that a direction should be passed upon the Municipal Authority to communicate its decision on the plan submitted by the petitioner on June 30, 2018.

WPA 6827 of 2019 is disposed of by directing the authorities of Chandernagore Municipal Corporation to take a decision on the application for sanction submitted by the petitioner on June 30, 2018

and communicate its decision as expeditiously as possible. In case the authorities of the Chandernagore Municipal Corporation are of the opinion that sanction to the plan cannot be accorded, an opportunity of hearing is to be afforded to the petitioner and a reasoned order is to be passed and communicated to the petitioner. The entire exercise is to be completed on or before November 30, 2022.
