Learned counsel for the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL), upon taking instruction, submits that the WBSEDCL is agreeable in principle to give a permanent electricity connection to the petitioner from a dedicated transformer to be installed, for which certain materials are required to be provided by the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, also on instruction, agrees to the same.

It transpires from the submission of the parties that the petitioner is already enjoying an electricity connection at the premises, but from the common village transformer.

Hence, in view of the submissions made above, WPA No. 7956 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the WBSEDCL to give a permanent electricity connection to the petitioner from a dedicated individual transformer, to be installed partially with the materials furnished by the petitioner, which the petitioner shall provide within a fortnight from date. Upon the petitioner furnishing such materials and complying with all other formalities, the WBSEDCL shall give such permanent electricity connection to the petitioner, upon installing a dedicated transformer, as expeditiously as possible, within the outer limit of a fortnight from the date of such compliance of formalities.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
