1. Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioners is taken on record.

2. Learned advocate representing the petitioners submits that respondent no. 9 took money from the petitioners for providing employment but subsequently petitioners found that they were cheated resulting in filing of complaint before the concerned police authority. Prayer is made in this writ petition for direction upon the concerned police authorities to take necessary steps.

3. Learned advocate representing the State respondents has filed a communication dated 10th

April, 2026 of Inspector-in-Charge of Matia Police Station, Basirhat Police District and same is taken on record. Copy of said communication dated 10th April, 2026 is made over to learned advocate representing the petitioner.

4. It is disclosed in said communication that complaint of the petitioners has already been transformed into FIR and criminal prosecution being Matia Police Station Case no. 158/2026 Dated 8th April, 2026 under certain provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 was initiated.

5. In view of steps taken by the concerned police authority by registering FIR, at this stage no further direction is warranted excepting direction upon the concerned police authority to take the investigation to its logical conclusion at an early date and submit report before the jurisdictional Magistrate.

6. With the aforesaid direction, writ petition stands disposed of.

7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
