Learned senior counsel representing the petitioner submits as follows. There are several proceedings pending between the private parties. All of them have been settled and quashed by this Court on the ground of settlement. They include other cases under the provisions of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. A chart of those cases that have been quashed on the ground of settlement and compromise, as filed in Court, is taken on record. Learned senior counsel representing the private opposite party supports the contentions of the petitioner and submits that settlement and compromise has been arrived at between the private parties that had led to the initiation of the instant FIR being Hare Street Police Station Case No.222 of 2024 dated 16.09.2024 under Section 3(1) of the S.C. and S.T. Act.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State files a report, which is taken on record and he submits that as per subsequent statement of the opposite party no.2, a compromise has been arrived at between the private parties.

In view of such settlement and in the interest of justice, I quash the impugned proceeding being S.C. and S.T. Case No.04 of 2024 pending before the learned Sessions Judge, Bench-1, City Sessions Court, Calcutta.

With these observations, the revisional application and the connected application are disposed of.
