Mr. Rana Mukherjee, APP Mr. Anindya Sunder Chatterjee .....Advocates The petitioner renews his prayer for bail. His prayer was turned down by this Court on 5th September, 2024. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the neighbours of the petitioner have not implicated him in their statements recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. Learned counsel for the State produces the case diary and opposes the prayer for bail.

I have perused the material on record. The petitioner is the husband of the victim who committed suicide within eight months of her marriage. Sufficient incriminating material having transpired against the petitioner prima facie suggesting

his involvement in the alleged offence, the prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The application for bail is accordingly disposed of. Case diary be returned.
