Petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Mr. Imran Ali, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. His appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner has expressed his anxiety in respect of the fact that he is in custody for 25 months and till date no witness has been examined in spite of charge being framed. According to the learned advocate, eight witnesses have been relied upon by the prosecution and the next date is fixed on 13th July, 2023. The anxiety expressed by the learned advocate for the petitioner is justified. Learned special court is directed to fix schedule of three dates and the schedule be fixed once in every 45 days so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

Learned special court will issue notice to the office of the

Superintendent of Police or the concerned Commissionerate in case any of the witnesses belonging to the Government Department are absent on the date so fixed. No unnecessary adjournment should be granted to either of the parties. The public prosecutor conducting the case should produce all the materials, exhibits and documents available on the date so fixed for examination of the witnesses. All efforts be taken by the stakeholders for concluding the trial at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 1201 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is consequently disposed of. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
