The petitioner no.1 is the brother-in-law of the victim lady, the petitioner no.2 is his wife and the petitioner no.3 is the mother-in-law of the victim lady.

The allegation is that these petitioners poured kerosene on the victim lady and two children aged two years and one year and set them on fire. The victim lady succumbed to the burn injury on the same day. The elder child survived for a few days but then died. The younger child survived.

The petitioners say that they have been falsely implicated. The husband of the victim lady is the prime accused and is on bail. They should also be enlarged on bail.

We have seen the material in the case diary including the injury report. Prima facie, the report corroborates the State's case.

In view of the heinous nature of the alleged offence and the prima facie complicity of the petitioners therein, although charge sheet may have been submitted, we are not inclined to entertain the petitioners' prayer for anticipatory bail. C.R.M. No.3119 of 2021 is, accordingly, dismissed. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Bivas Pattanayak, J.)
