He had not absconded and was arrested.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered the materials on record. Wife had accompanied the petitioner to Kakdwip. There she was found hanging from a tree. Post-mortem report shows she suffered injuries and died due to strangulation. No explanation with regard to homicidal death is offered by the petitioner-husband. Statement of the minor also implicates the petitioner. In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

The application for bail is thus rejected.
