Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that in spite of Baguiati Police Station Case No. 16/2025 dated 04.01.2025 registered for investigation no effective steps have been taken by the Investigating Officer as the petitioner complains that there has been no recovery of the subject matter relating to the information so furnished, neither the accused person till date could be traced.

Having considered that the police authorities on assessment of the facts have already served notice upon the accused persons under section 35(3) of the BNSS, I am of the view that the police authorities for the time being have taken steps. However, efforts are directed to be further taken so that the police authorities can take the

investigation to its logical conclusion by collecting relevant materials associated with the case and for unearthing the truth.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 8162 of 2025 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

A copy of the report without annexure be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner.
