We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses show petitioner had also participated in the assault. He absconded for about four years and does not stand on the same footing with co-accused who are on bail. In view of the aforesaid materials on record and conduct of the petitioner, we are not inclined to grant bail to him at this stage.

The application for bail is thus rejected.
