Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the case is pending for examination of the accused persons under Section 313 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. The petitioner has not been implicated in the alleged offence. The petitioner prays for bail. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. It appears from the record that some of the witnesses have implicated the petitioner in the alleged offence and the dead body of the victim was recovered pursuant to the leading statement of the petitioner and the co-accused.

Considering the gravity of the offence as well as prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

However, since the trial is at its fag end, the learned Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law. The application for bail being C.R.M. (M) No. 80 of 2025 is, thus, disposed of.
