Petitioner prays for anticipatory bail in respect of a police case dated August 3, 2017.

It is contended on behalf of the petitioner that the police filed charge-sheet and, therefore, custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not required.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the case diary. Considering the long period of absconsion of the petitioner and considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner there as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
