The matter relates to appointment of ASHA.

The recruitment process was initiated in the year 2023. The petitioner participated in the recruitment process and was unsuccessful. Her allegation is that, the private respondent who is not the resident of the area where the ASHA has been selected, has been given the appointment.

The petitioner challenges the eligibility of the private respondent in participating in the recruitment process and thereafter her appointment as ASHA. 4.

None represents the private respondent.

From the report filed by way of an affidavit affirmed by the Deputy Manager and Deputy Collector, Raghunathpur Sub Division on June 23, 2023, it appears that the Committee scrutinized the voter identity card (EPIC) which was submitted by the private respondent as proof of her residence in the area where ASHA has been selected. The village Gayadih where ASHA has been selected is mentioned in her EPIC.

According to the petitioner, the private respondent is a resident of the village Tilahir. 7.

Learned advocate for the State refers to the EPIC of the private respondent wherein Gayadih is mentioned.

The petitioner challenges the address of the private respondent and particularly the village where she resides. The same is a disputed question of fact. 9.

The recruiting authority has verified the document relied upon by the private respondent, and on being satisfied that she is a resident of the area where ASHA will be engaged, issued appointment letter in her favour.

The private respondent is serving since March 2023. More than three years have elapsed from the date of her engagement.

It will not be proper to interfere with the matter at such delayed point of time.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. 13.
