Arnab Prananick ... petitioner (In person) The petitioner appearing in person has prayed for expeditious disposal of the proceeding being GR Case No. 1847 of 2022 presently pending before learned ACJM Baruipur. Petitioner submits that this Court while disposing of CRR 1498 of 2022 was pleased to direct the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Baruipur, to conclude the trial of the case within six months from the date of supply of the copy. Learned court below has framed charge on 3rd November, 2022. But since then trial has not yet been concluded and accordingly he has prayed for further direction upon the court below to conclude the trial and for delivery of judgment at an early date. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner, who is appearing in person, I find that the prayer made by the petitioner is justified in terms of the long pendency and therefore it deserves to be allowed.

In such view of the matter, the instant application being CRR 1526 of 2026 is hereby disposed of with a direction upon the Court below to make his best endeavour to expedite the hearing of the case and to make his best effort to conclude the trial preferably within a period of two months from the next date of hearing.
