Mr. Partha Pratim Ray Ms. Poulami Chakraborty ... ... for the petitioner Mr. Susovan Sengupta Mr. Subir Pal ... ... for the State Petitioner is aggrieved that the representation made by the petitioner was not considered by the Superintendent of Police, Murshidabad as well as S.D.P.O., Lalbagh and the Officer-in-Charge, Lalgola Police Station. Such representation is of 06.05.2022 and almost two and half years have passed.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the prayer is in fact recovery of possession of property to be done at the behest of the police authorities which is not permissible in law.

However, in view of the fact that the representation was filed in May, 2022, petitioner is granted liberty to file fresh representation with the Superintendent of Police, Murshidabad. Copy of the same may be advanced to the Officer-in-Charge, Lalgola Police Station, who in turn will consider the representation in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 8735 of 2024 is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
