Petitioner has approached this court as his representation dated 17.01.2025 addressed to the Officer-in-charge, Barasat Police Station was not responded to. Petitioner complained of physical and mental torture being inflicted by the daughter-inlaw, granddaughter and grandson-in-law and also not being allowed to enter the residential house. Report submitted by the police reflects that on 22.04.2025 Barasat PS Case No. 195/2025 has been registered for investigation under the relevant provisions of the BNS, 2023 and the investigation of the case is in progress.

Learned advocate for the petitioner claims for entering the residence. So far as the said issue is concerned, petitioner would approach the tribunal

under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007. In case any direction for residential right is given to the petitioner, the police authorities would respect, obey and implement such order.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 8042 of 2025 is disposed of.
