And In Re : Jamir Ali ..... petitioner Mr. K. C. Saha Mr. M. Saha ... for the petitioner Ms. Anasuya Sinha Mr. Pinak Kumar Mitra ... for the State Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits there is no direct evidence connecting him with the murder. He prays for bail.

Learned Counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits petitioner stands on the same footing with Ashadul Hoque whose bail prayer was rejected.

We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner was last seen with the victim. A part of chain recovered from the petitioner matches with the chain which was recovered from the place of occurrence. In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected.
