1 and 2 Mr. Jayanta Samanta Mr. Manas Kumar Sadhu ... for the alleged contemnor no.5 The contempt application is taken up for consideration today in presence of the learned advocates representing the applicant and alleged contemnor nos. 1,2,3 and 5. During course of hearing learned advocates representing the parties have drawn attention of this Court to the order passed in the special meeting of the Board of Councillors of North Barrackpore Municipality conducted on 23rd December, 2022 which has been communicated to the applicant vide letter dated 2nd January, by the Chairman of North Barrackpore Municipality.

In view of the decision taken in the special meeting dated 23rd December, 2022 it appears that

order passed by this Court on 2nd August, 2022 stands complied with.

Accordingly the contempt application stands disposed of and the contempt proceeding stands dropped.

However, this order shall not preclude the applicant to take steps in accordance with law, if so advised.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
