The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that her protest petition is pending since September 2022. The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the next date has been fixed on 29.05.2024.

Records also reflect that the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Paschim Medinipur has been fixing dates at a stretch of three to four months. Having considered the same, I direct the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Paschim Medinipur to dispose of the protest petition filed at the instance of the petitioner in connection with Sabang Police Station Case No. 270 of 2021 on the next date so fixed or within a fortnight thereafter preferably by 20.06.2024. The learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Paschim Medinipur will fix as many dates, he thinks fit and proper, issue notice to the State and would decide the protest petition in accordance with law within the fixed time line as mentioned above. With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 1282 of 2024 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
