Mr. Firdous Samim, Ms. Gopa Biswas ...for the petitioners Mr. Supratic Roy ...for the WBUHS C.A.N.1 of 2020 (Old No.4071 of 2020) is disposed of by taking up writ petition for consideration. The writ petition is taken up for consideration subsequent to the order dated July 13, 2020.
By such order, the Court directed that, the examination for the professional course should be held. The Court also permitted that the authority will hold replacement examination for such student who would not be able to attend such examination. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that two of the petitioners could not attend the examination during the pandemic. He submits that such petitioners made a representation to the authorities for holding of the replacement
examination. The authorities are yet to take the decision thereon.
Learned advocate appearing for the University submits that the University is taking steps for the purpose of holding the replacement examination. In such circumstances, it would be appropriate to request the University authorities to hold the replacement examination as expeditiously as possible. The authorities will decide the representation made by the petitioners within a period of four weeks from date. In the event, the replacement examination is held within such time, the representation need not be considered by the authorities.
With the aforesaid direction, W.P.A.5928 of 2020 [W.P.5928 (W) of 2020] is disposed of.
