Edwin Ngoesine Anideh v. State Of West Bengal
29.06.2021 Ct No. 35 D/L 2 ab C.R.M. 3146 of 2021 (Via Video Conference) Re: An application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure filed in connection with Bidhannagar Cyber Crime Police Station Case No. 63 of 2020 dated 01.08.2020 under Sections 419/420/120B of the Indian Penal Code and adding Sections 14(4) of the Foreigners Act, 2004 and adding Sections 468/471 of the Indian Penal Code.
In Re: Edwin Ngoesine Anideh, ... petitioner Mr. Kuldeep Rai, Mr. Anindya Sundar Chatterjee, ... for the petitioner Mr. Bivas Chatterjee, Ms. Anushree Mondal, .... for the State Mr. Kuldeep Rai, learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the charge sheet has already been submitted in this case and the offences committed under Sections 419/420/120B of the Indian Penal Code have been compounded. He further submits that the wife of the petitioner is ill and as such, on the humanitarian ground to facilitate her treatment, the petitioner should be granted interim bail.
Mr. Bivas Chatterjee, learned advocate appears for the State and produces the case diary.
Having regard to the gravity of the offences and complicity of the petitioner and the surfaced in the case diary, I do not feel that it is a fit case where the petitioner should be granted bail at this stage. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected.
The application for bail being C.R.M. 3146 of 2021 is dismissed.
