The present with application has been filed, inter alia, praying for a direction upon the Controlling Authority under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, to dispose of the proceedings pending before him.

Mr. Guha Thakurta, learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that during the pendency of the aforesaid writ application, the proceedings have been disposed of by the Controlling Authority and as such, the instant writ application has become infructuous. Having regard to the aforesaid, let the writ application be dismissed as infructuous.
