Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is an 85 years old man of frail health. He lodged an FIR on 22.06.2022 after he obtained a direction under Section 156(3) of the Code. A charge sheet was submitted under Sections 420 and 406 of the Penal Code on 30th January, 2024. However, till date, the proceeding could not be concluded. In fact, 21.05.2025 has been fixed as the date for supply of copy.

As the petitioner has prayed for expeditious disposal of the proceeding, no prejudice will be caused to anyone, if an order is passed without directing service of copies on the other side. In view of the advanced age of the petitioner and the delay in concluding the proceeding as would be evident from the relevant list of dates, the learned Trial Court is requested to conclude the proceeding in accordance with law and as expeditiously as possible. Let the question of framing of charge be decided at the earliest, preferably within a period of three months from the date on which copies would be supplied. With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order may be supplied to the parties expeditiously, if applied for.
