Petitioner prays for anticipatory bail.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that there was an existing relationship between the petitioner and the victim.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code. He submits that the investigations are yet to be concluded. The police prayed for adding the relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

Considering the statement of the victim recorded under section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code and considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
