In the matter of : Bijoy Ram ..... petitioner Mr. Sudip Ghosh Chowdhury Mr. Argha Das Mr. Abhishek Bose ....For the petitioner Mr. Arijit Ganguly Mr. Sanjib Kumar Dan .....For the State The Court is approached under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure soliciting a direction to ensure expeditious disposal of a pending NDPS Case of Learned Additional Sessions Judge cum Judge, Special Court, Hooghly vide Case No. NDPS Case No. 15/2019 under Section 20(b)(ii)(c) of the NDPS Act. The sum and substance of the learned advocate representing the petitioner is that there has been inordinate delay caused in the commencement of the trial due to non-collection of the chemical report. The copy of the revisional application be handed over to Mr.

Ganguly, learned junior Government advocate for the State in the interest of ensuring expeditious disposal of this case. Mr. Ganguly draws the attention of the Court to the last order dated 12th March, 2021, which was fixed before the learned Court below awaiting chemical report, which, according to Mr. Ganguly, may be expedited in the interest of ensuring expeditious disposal.

Having considered the submission of the learned advocate for the petitioner revealing the dissatisfaction caused for the non-

submission of the chemical report leading to delay in the commencement of the trial and the counter-submission raised by Mr. Ganguly defending the State, the Court is of the view that this instant revisional application may be disposed of, so as to subserve the purpose of justice, as proposed, giving a direction mentioned as hereunder:- Learned Court below is directed to collect chemical report expeditiously as possible and upon collection of the same, charge may be framed after supplying a copy of the same within one month (01) thereafter so as to mark the commencement of the trial with an aim to ensure expeditious disposal of this case.

With these directions and observations, the revisional application is disposed of.
