The petitioner's grievance is that having retired from service on 28th February, 2021 pension has not been released to her. A demand of return of a sum of Rs.15,090/- has been deposited by the petitioner on 26th April, 2023.

In that view of the matter, this Court directs the District Inspector of Schools, Purba Bardhaman (PE), to deal with matter and calculate the last drawn pay, pension and other terminal benefits payable to the petitioner and forward the same to the DPPG, West Bengal within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The DPPG, West Bengal shall thereafter issue PPO and release pension to the petitioner within a period of four weeks thereafter.

Let arrears of pension, gratuity and leave encashment be paid to the petitioner with interest at the rate of 9% per annum till the date of actual payment.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
