Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners had lodged an FIR against the present de facto complainant and others on 30.01.2025. On the very same day after few hours and as a counterblast the present de facto complainant lodged the instant FIR. The petitioners are absolutely innocent. The petitioner No.2 is only a laboratory assistant and could not have been in a position to dupe anyone on the promise of giving jobs.

Learned counsel for the State submits that it appears from the statements of witnesses who were the victims of the fraud perpetrated by the petitioners that most of the 41 victims actually did not get any job after giving money to the

petitioners. Some of them who got some jobs, actually did not get any salary. Money was transferred to the accounts of the petitioners. The petitioner No.2 issued the engagement letter. Investigation is going on.

In view of the incriminating materials available in the case diary and the fact that the investigation is going on, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
