1. Learned counsel for the petitioner points out that the writ petition was preferred against a Look Out Circular (LOC) issued on the request of the respondent-bank.

2. During pendency of the writ petition, however, the matter has been resolved between the petitioner and the bank.

3. Learned counsel for the bank also hands over a server copy of an order dated February 26, 2024 passed in CRR 1325 of 2020, which indicates that the matter was disposed of as infructuous and the First Information Report (FIR) lodged on the complaint of the bank against the petitioner has been quashed.

4. It is submitted by the petitioner as well as the bank that in view of the cause of action for issuance of the LOC on the request itself having been rendered academic and resolved between the parties and since the LOC itself stands suspended on the request of the bank, the same may be finally quashed since the matter has been resolved between the parties.

5. Upon hearing learned counsel for the parties, it transpires that the very premise of the issuance of the LOC is no longer existent in view of the amicable resolution of dispute between the petitioner and the bank.

6. Accordingly, WPA No. 9119 of 2021 is allowed, thereby setting aside the LOC issued against the petitioner on the request of the respondent-bank as well as the said request.

7. In view of disposal of the writ petition, connected applications, being CAN 1 of 2023 and CAN 2 of 2024, are accordingly disposed of as well.

8. There will be no order as to costs.

9. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities. (Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya, J.)
