The petitioner complains that, a liquor shop is running in an area which according to the petitioner is in violation the provisions for grant of license. The petitioner made a representation dated February 7, 2021, with regard thereto, which the authorities are yet to consider and dispose of.

The Excise authorities are represented.

In such circumstances, since the petitioner complains that there are violations of the rules and regulations governing the grant of liquor license so far as the instant case is concerned, the representation dated February 7, 2021 should be disposed of. It would be appropriate to direct the respondent no.4 to consider and decide the representation dated February 7, 2021 in accordance with law. The

respondent no.4 will afford a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as also to the private respondent. The respondent no.4 is at liberty to hear such other parties and consult such documents that he deems necessary. He will pass a reasoned order which he will communicate to the parties he heard forthwith thereafter. It is expected that, he will complete the entire exercise within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order to him.

W.P.A. 9118 of 2021 is disposed of accordingly. Urgent certified Website copy of this order, if applied, be supplied to the parties, upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
