Mr. Baisali Basu Mr. Subham Bhakat .....Advocates Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the role of the petitioner as alleged is only that of a person who introduced the victim to the prime accused. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that there are statements of independent witnesses who support the prosecution case that the petitioner and the other accused had duped two persons of substantial sums of money on the promise of giving them jobs. However, neither was the job given nor was the money returned. Investigation is going on.

In view of the incriminating materials available in the case diary and the fact that the investigation is still on, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail being CRM(A) 1197 of 2025 is rejected.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order may be delivered to the learned Advocates for the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all formalities.
