The petitioners participated in the 1st SLST 2016 recruitment process for appointment of upper primary school teacher. They were eligible on the date of filing the application for recruitment but on the date of verification of their credentials they have been found to be over-aged.

The petitioners have submitted a representation before the Commission to provide appointment to them by taking into consideration their age on the date of filing the application. The representation from the petitioners is pending consideration before the Commission.

The instant writ petition has been filed by 69 petitioners.

The Commission intends to consider the case of each of the petitioners separately and individually.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition stands disposed of by directing the Secretary of the West Bengal Central School Service Commission to take a decision on the petitioners' prayer in accordance with the prevailing rules at the earliest, but positively within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to each of the petitioners separately. 7.

Learned advocate for the petitioners is directed to forward a copy of the representation to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of the Court.

Receipt showing payment of deficit court fees be retained with the records.

9.

All parties shall act on the basis of a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
