Petitioner prays for anticipatory bail.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that subsequent to the investigations, the police filed charge-sheet, inter alia, under Section 18 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the case diary. He submits that the victim is a nine year old girl.

The contention that the police complaint is counter blast to the complaint lodged by the wife of the petitioner was considered while rejecting the prayer for anticipatory bail on December 23, 2021.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner there and considering the age of the victim and the nature of offence alleged against the petitioner, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
