And In Re : Joydev Roy @ Rana ...... petitioner Ms. Sananda Bhattacharya ....for the petitioner Mr. Avishek Sinha ....for the State Petitioner prays for anticipatory bail.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that, there is a counter-complaint against the de-facto complainant. The petitioner also received injuries. She refers to the injury report of the petitioner at page 14 of the petition. Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the case diary. He submits that, the victim received grievous hurt. He also submits that, the petitioner filed the police complaint one and one and half months after the incident.

Considering the fact that the victim received grievous hurt and considering the materials in the case diary and considering

the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 2000 of 2022 is dismissed.
