To that effect, the petitioner has informed the Inspector-incharge of Panskura Police Station on or about 21.08.2023.

The petitioner, additionally, complains that he is also under threat which is at the behest of the private respondents, but, in spite of informing the same to the police authorities on several occasions, no action has been taken by the police authorities.

Learned advocate for the State

has submitted a report which reflects that there is a dispute in respect of the rights and usages of the land is concerned.

The report also reflects that pursuant to the information furnished, G.D.

59/2024 dated 01.04.2024 and 73/2024 dated 01.04.2024 have been registered by the Panskura Police Station and an enquiry has been conducted.

It is reflected that the offences complained of are non-cognizable offences, as such, a proceeding was drawn up under Section 107 of the Cr.P.C.

So far as the right, title and interest of the property is concerned, it would be the absolute domain of the land revenue authority and/or the learned Civil Court to decide according to the nature of the claim.

So far as the police authorities are concerned, the police authorities would

be responsible for preventing any breach of the peace and tranquility and/or any untoward incident.

Accordingly, the police authorities are directed to ensure by keeping a strict vigil that no breach of the peace and tranquility takes place as also no untoward incident results because of the inimical relationship existing between the parties.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 9100 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record. A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate for the petitioner.
